Why Burials?

With burial services remaining a popular choice for many religions, within family traditions or even just for personal preference, we at Haynan are here to guide you through the often complicated process of arranging this.

Burial Costs

At Haynan, all of our services are covered in our revolutionary cost, including the hearse, one limousine, the chapel, minister and organist (if required) fees. With a burial however, there are further costs required by the cemetery or council which the client will incur. We will give you the full information and break down at the time of arrangement. In the south east of England, the average cost of the plot, internment fee and (if required) the removal of a headstone is £1895. Please note, the fees for a burial vary across different cemeteries, natural burial grounds and types of grave. At Gravesend cemetery, our closest and most visited cemetery, the purchase of the exclusive right of burial is from £960 and internment from £855. For their full price list, click here.

*For this option, we ask for half of the entire balance be paid before the day of the funeral. An invoice for the full amount will be presented to you at the time of arrangement. The remainder of the invoice is required within one month of funeral completion.

Options and Extras

A traditional burial usually consists of a service in a local church or cemetery chapel. This is followed by a few words at the side of the grave before the committal. Some people however, prefer to have a full service at the grave side if this is adequate. Some families choose to personalise the service more, with our guidance, by adding a dove/balloon release, flowers for the graveside, the sprinkling of earth or petals, music or by performing a backfill -

Just a few examples of personalisation that we can assist you with.

Woodland Burials

Becoming more popular are woodland burials. This is a service and a burial that takes place at a natural burial ground. With stringent rules and guidelines to follow, natural burials are leading the way in eco-friendly funerals. Read more about Woodland Burials.
